On World Day Against Witch Hunts, 10 August 2025, leading organisations from around Ghana joined forces with NGO End Witch Hunts to raise awareness about one of the world’s most overlooked human rights crises that has a disproportionate impact on vulnerable women and children. Thousands of women, children and men face the devastating consequences of being accused of practising witchcraft and of harming others. They experience violence, stigmatisation, ostracism, loss of livelihood, psychological trauma and on far too many occasions, death, as a result of such accusations.
